Established in 2004, Pieper Sports Facility Consulting is an architectural consulting practice that provides expertise and support to universities, local municipalities, and architectural firms for sporting, training and entertainment facilities.
The area in which I have focused my practice is working directly with universities and local architectural practices. With the pressure on Universities and Municipalities to keep dollars in the local economy, selecting an out of state architectural firm can have its drawbacks. My approach is to work with competent local firms that officials feel can perform the technical job appropriately, but lack the depth of sports expertise needed. As a smaller firm, I feel that the local firms will be less intimidated and more open to work with me than with a large sports practice.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked with several universities, local architectural firms and municipalities in the United States and abroad. Prior to that, I have worked for three of the largest sports architecture firms in the country. This has given me the opportunity to work on projects all over the world, as well as a wide variety of venue types. This exposure to many sporting types, varying cultures and traditions, and a personal love of sport puts me in a position to provide unique solutions to the opportunities that your project presents
